In many cases certified translations can be prepared remotely and provided to the client electronically (as is now a standard requirement of many government agencies) or physically by express mail.
Even if you can attend, you are encouraged to submit your material in an electronic form and then pick up the translated documents in person. This option saves your time and cuts it down to just one visit.
You are also welcome to drop off your documents in person (by appointment) if it is more convenient for you.

My minimum fee for new projects is just $75 + GST per document. Many popular documents qualify for this minimum fee, including most birth certificates, marriage certificates, driver's licences, and more (with some exceptions).
